Spectrophotometer Cell, 2 mm Path Length, 4.5 L x 12.5 W x 45 mm H Exterior, 2 L x 10 mm W Interior, Quartz, Rectangular, 0.7 ml Nominal Volume, 2 Polished Windows, 170 to 2700 nm Range
Standard rectangular cells or macro cells, type 1, are the most common cells used in analytical chemistry. The exterior dimensions allow the cells to be used with virtually every spectrophotometer and photometer instrument currently in use. These cells have an exterior height of 45 mm, two clear windows and an open top. The walls of the cell and the bottom are smooth on the inside. On the outside, the light path windows are clear while the adjacent windows and the bottom are frosted or grey. Typically, windows are 1.25 mm thick and each cell in this range is supplied with a PTFE cover.
