Find your:

Allihn condenser- or call it a bulb or reflux condenser. It’s suitable for laboratory-scale reflux, with it’s long glass tube with a water jacket. The long and small constrictions inside the tube increase the surface area where the vapour constituents condense.

Liebig condenser- basic, effective, inexpensive, and easy to use.

Graham condenser- a coolant spiral coil runs through the length of the condenser serving as the vapour- condensate path. I’s usually chosen because the coiled condenser tubes inside provide more area for cooling vs other designs.

Cold finger condenser- can be cooled to a lower temperature than water condensers, reducing the amount of volatile material exhausted into the air.

Friedrich condenser- has even more surface area than a Graham condenser.

West condenser- a thinner version of the Liebig condenser with a cone and socket that allows for the increased flow rate of water to provide high cooling efficiency.
