Phase Separator Paper, Silicone, Grade 1PS

Whatman™ 1PS Phase Separator from Cytiva’s Life Sciences business is a hydrophobic filter for routine solvent extraction. Within seconds it retains aqueous phases, while solvent phases flow through. Solvent extraction can be time-consuming and messy when numerous separations are required. Cytiva's Whatman™ 1PS Phase Separator is impregnated with stabilized silicone, creating a hydrophobic filter paper that can replace separatory funnel use in certain applications. Mixed phases are poured directly into the Whatman™ 1PS Phase Separator filter. The solvent phase flows through the paper quickly and cleanly, automatically stopping after the process is complete; all of the aqueous phase is retained. Droplets are automatically separated within seconds.
